Cruise Deals

Many travelers new to cruising do not always realize that not everything is included in their cruise price. Many are SHOCKED when they board their ship and realize they will need additional monies to get them through their trip.

So, you ask, what is included and what should I expect to pay for while Im on my dream vacation?

Although each cruise line has its own set of inclusions, the following information does apply to the majority of the cruise lines; the ones that are categorized as Mainstream Cruise Lines.

What is included in the price of your cruise?

Accommodations
Meals
Limited Beverages
Onboard Activities
Children and Teen Programs
Fitness Centers
Entertainment

Accommodations - With your stateroom accommodations a cabin steward will be assigned to you. S/he will attend to your every need including turning down your bed at night, cleaning of your room at least once a day, etc. Cabins come equipped with televisions and stereos. Bathroom amenities that are often included are shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soaps, razors, etc. Most new ships may also include blow driers and refrigerators (but not always). Because of fire hazards, irons are not furnished and are not allowed in the staterooms; however, ships do offer ironing services at a fee.

Meals - You will certainly not go hungry while cruising. All meals are included from day to night. Most cruises have 24-hour buffet areas where you can eat any time of day. Sit down gourmet dinners that are served include appetizers, salads, main entre and desserts. You can also order additional entrees (if you are glutton). Popular meals are also the ships midnight buffets, pizza parties, and ice cream parties. If you are still hungry or just want to order in, the ships 24-hour room service is always available.

Limited Beverages - Overall, drinks are not included unless they are being served with breakfast, buffets or dinners. Included drinks are usually limited to iced tea, lemonade, some juices, coffee, and water (not bottled).

Onboard Activities - You will never be bored on a cruise ship because they have ongoing activities throughout the day that are gratis. These may include swimming or relaxing in a hot tub, contests and games, dance and golf lessons, karaoke and sing-a-longs, etc.

Children & Teen Programs - All of the mainstream ships will offer organized children and teen programs that keep the entire family happy. These programs are normally categorized by age and include age-appropriate activities.

Fitness Centers - Cruise ships offer state-of-the-art fitness centers for the health-conscious traveler. Centers include fitness machines such as stationary or spin bikes, treadmills, and stair steppers. There are also offerings of aerobics, yoga or Pilates classes. Not all classes offered are free, but there are many to choose from that are included. Hint: these classes fill up fast!

Entertainment -What kind of entertainment is offered on a cruise ship? We dont have enough time to list everything, but these ships include theatres that feature elaborate Vegas-style shows, singers, comics, etc. Additionally you will find cinema-style theatres that show current movies. There are bar lounges with music to dance the night away, karaoke bars to sing the night away, or piano bars. There are numerous deck and pool parties. And dont forget the Casinos which may feature high-stakes poker tournaments (of course gambling money is not included).

You will find that the list of what is not included in a cruise is much shorter than what is included.

What is NOT included in the price of your cruise?

Tips
Beverages
Spa Treatments
Shore Excursions

Tips - When paying a cruise rate, the tips will not be included, although you can always pre-pay for the tips. Most of the workers on a cruise ship earn most of their money on tips.and they do EARN IT -- you will not find better waiters, stewards, or bartenders anywhere. Most cruise lines have recommended tipping standards that normally start at $10.00 per day per guest. Basically, these tips are distributed among the personnel that service your every need for the included cruise items such as your stateroom stewards, waiters, or bus person. Most cruise lines will automatically add their recommended tip amount to your stateroom account at time of sailing. This amount can always be decreased or increased based on the service received.

Beverages - Alcoholic beverages are not included in your cruise rate. Also sodas, specialty coffees, or bottled water are not included. There may be options to buy packages for unlimited wine or alcohol or sodas that may be worth purchasing your beverage consumption is high.

Spa Treatments - All cruise ships offer state-of-the art spa treatments such as messages, facials, and salon services. All these are extra..but, boy, are they worth it!!!!

Shore Excursions - Of course shore excursions are not included. There are dozens of things to do when ships dock at the beautiful exotic destinations. Cruise lines make it VERY easy for their clients to book excursion on-line even before they board the ship. Of course, shore excursion bookings are also available once you board.

TRY TO REMEMBER TO.

. Keep track of your spending by holding on to all receipts
... Check your account balance throughout the day.
... Book the must-do shore excursion ahead of time since they may sell out

Who's Your Mentor?

Whenever we undertake a new venture, be it coaching basketball, some kind of business startup, a hobby or whateverwe usually need help.

Help could come in as simple a form as a brochure, but if were really starting something that is taking us into our own unchartered waters, we will be better served having a guide, rather than trying to figure out how to do whatever it is were trying to attempt.

Henry Ford, in running his company, had a bank of buttons on his desk. When he needed advice on accounting, he pressed a button to call in his accounting guru. For engineering, he pressed another button. Henry Ford was successful, in part at least, because he knew that he couldnt know and do it all by himself. He kept a stable of mentors-gurus who were knowledgeable in areas where he wasnt.

Most of us dont have the luxury of having gurus at our beck-and-call. However, in this computer age, we are closer to being able to reach out for a mentor, anywhere in the world we may be, and anywhere in the world a mentor might be.

We can go one-on-one with someone who knows what we want to know without ever leaving our home.

I was in a group with a financial mentor who told us to, find someone who has what we want, do what they did, to get what they got. Ill admit, I tried that, but didnt get quite the results Id aspired to, however I learned a lot. This method works for some highly dedicated people, but most of us average folks may come up short, as I did.

Im ready to retire, and want to have a renewable income source to keep me financially secure for the rest of my life. I decided to take everything Id been doing for more than fifty years in basketball and market it to the world. This would have been extremely difficult for me in the 70s, 80s and 90s, but now in the new millennium, I can accomplish this via the internet.

Cool. Im ready to go. Now, exactly how do I go about this? My computer knowledge and abilities are minimal. So, I got a mentor. That got me started. Now I have three mentors, and have gone through a couple of others. Because I need new information all the time, I can keep reaching out there into cyberspace to find the help I need. I ask, what do I need to do? and they tell me what to do and how to do it. Do I pay for this? Yes. Whats the alternativegoing to school for years to hopefully gain some of the knowledge they bring to me immediately, or use the trip-fumble-stumble method of trying to do it myself?

When I first started out as a basketball coach, I was a nineteen year old and college student running an after-school recreation program at an elementary school. Even though I had played basketball in high school, I was by no means qualified to teach it.

Upon graduation from college my first basketball coaching position was at the middle school level and I found quickly that I needed more education.

During those formative years of my coaching I searched for as much help as I could get and found it from some of the most talented people of that era.

In the 1960s, I fell in love with teaching basketball defense after reading a book entitled, Mosquito Defense, written by Al McGuire, Marquette Universitys coach. I used his methods of swarming defense successfully for many years, at the junior high and then at the high school levels.

I worked hard at teaching myself how to coach basketball and each season I improved, but it was a slow process.

A few years later, and with some seasoning behind me, my journey to teaching-coach moved up a notch from just reading about basketball to becoming proactive--attending clinics, seminars and camps. Among the clinicians to whom I owe much of what I know about teaching defense was Bobby Knight. This was in the 70s. Knight, at that time, was the acclaimed guru of defense. His approach to playing defense and how to teach it, was innovative and genius to this young coach from California. His man-to-man defense philosophy and techniques gave me the ability to teach individual defense and then be able to build this knowledge right into my team defense. What I learned from Coach Knight, combined with my early success with Mosquito Defense, enabled me to develop my own brand of defense and my Giant Killer defense emerged. Defense was to become my hallmark as a coach and later as an international consultant and lecturer.

These talented mentors inspired me to want to be more than just a successful high school coach. I read what they wrote; took notes on what they had to say at coaching clinics; I participated as a coach in their camps; I even took my players and my small sons to listen to them speak, to attend the camps as players, and to watch their teams practice. None of these mentors knew my name or would remember me, but they influenced my early growth in becoming the teacher of the game into which I evolved.

Now Im a basketball coaching mentor for others. Oh, certainly not like Bobby Knight, Abe Lemons, Pete Newell, or John Wooden. But, I bring my teaching DVD, e-Books, basketball coaches tutoring, monthly newsletter and more to a special niche market. My more than 50 years of basketball playing and coaching experience have been successful, by won-loss standards and in the number of coaches and players Ive helped to develop all around the world.

My focus is on the niche market where new, aspiring coaches venture into the sport without much more of a clue than a 19 year old boy in California had in getting started. I work with these newbie basketball coaches, with coaches who have some experience but are still learning, and even with more experienced coaches looking for a splinter of information which might give them the help they need to get to the next level of basketball coaching success. I work with high school players, whose goal is to play college ball, and teach position specific skills to help them be successful. My goaland my promiseto each coach or player I work with, is that I will take them to a higher level of teaching and playing than they were at when we got started together.

The role of the mentor is to teach and guide the student to a higher level of understanding and skill, no matter what the field of interest may be.

Are you looking for a higher level of success from where you are? Who is your mentor?

Coach Ronn Wyckoff has spent more than fifty years in basketball, as a player and coach. As an international consultant, his programs have reached hundreds of players and coaches around the world. In forty-plus years of coaching, he has coached from school levels to national teams, winning over 70%. Go to http://www.top-basketball-coaching.comCatlaina Blog66198

Historic Homes Restorationits Easy With A Professional Restoration Team

Old homes are beautiful. Not to mention they have character and style that just cant be found in homes today. That is because older homes were built with materials that are no longer used. Not to mention craftsmanship and creativity that cant be found in todays matchbox homes. However, if you buy a historic home and are interested in home restoration then you will definitely have your work cut out for you.

Restoring an old home takes a lot of time and effort and it can be nearly impossible if you dont know what you are doing. Even if you hire a contractor to restore your historic home you may not end up with the results you are looking for if the contractor does not specialize in historic renovation or old home restoration. However, there is hope out there!

Many contractors work specifically on historic homes to restore them to their former glory. However, the new owners also want modern conveniences and features that were not previously present. So, the home restoration contractor works to impeccably restore the home while including the modern necessities the homeowner desires. The result is a historical home that offers everything a contemporary family might need while reflecting the homes amazing history, construction and craftsmanship.

Choosing a Home Restoration Contractor

If you want your old home to be restored then you need to be very careful with the home restoration contractor you choose. Not all contractors know how to restore old homes correctly and could actually do more harm to your historical restoration efforts than you imagined.

Because of this when you are looking for a contractor to restore your historical home make sure you check out their past work. Ask for references, check out previous homes they have restored, and see if the final result is what you are looking for in your home restoration.

Once you find a contractor you trust with your historic renovation then you will be ready to sit down and talk about what you have in mind. Be sure the old house restoration contractor is well aware of your desires for the ultimate outcome of your home.

When the homeowners and contractors are on the same page, and the contractor is skilled, then old house restoration is most successful. Keep these tips in mind when you are considering old home restoration and you will likely have the new, old home of your dreams!

A Review of Backyard Football

To play a game of backyard football with your buddies or with the family doesnt mean the same thing any more. Probably you still remember the time when we all played full fledged football in neighborhood skirmishes, and if you dont its not so bad as you can still have some fun on your computer while playing backyard football. The game makes a great Christmas or birthday present for you children also. You just have to cover the hardware requirements and learn to play.

To play a game of football with your buddies or with the family doesnt mean the same thing any more. Probably you still remember the time when we all played full fledged football in neighborhood skirmishes, and if you dont its not so bad as you can still have some fun on your computer while playing backyard football. The game makes a great Christmas or birthday present for you children also. You just have to cover the hardware requirements and learn to play.

Having the chance to choose from more than 30 professional teams and of course all of their players, and to even modify every single player in the game, will be great fun for your little treasures. The fact that it allows players to change what they dont like makes that game really great. And you dont have to worry about your Backyard Kids standing up against adult players of Gannon and Bledsoe. Both you and your kind will get excited when you see the junior-sized characters of those real professional footballers in your copy of Backyard Football.

Another strong point of the game is that even offering so many options for the play itself it does not require having a super computer as some others do. In the computer age that we live in, even if the game is having problems to run on your computer it will be easy to upgrade it. It only requires a standard version of Windows 2000, 98 or even 95 will do, your processor speed should be at least 166 MHz and youll need at least 32 MB of free space on you hard drive, and youre ready for kick off. In case you decide to save all your teams players and scores in the tournaments youll need some more free hard drive space too. And of course the better the SVGA video card you have the better youll enjoy the game on the screen.

It will be great fun for you too if you give it a try. Nobody knows what a competition you may start. And you kids will be very happy with that if you finally found the time to spend a few hours with them playing Backyard Football on the PC. It will definitely leave you with some nice memories too. Sharing all the emotions of your children around that great game can even bring some of your memories about the days of real backyard football back.

5 Materials and Technologies That Just Might Eliminate Digital Camera Shutter Delay

Bob pushed the shutter release button andNOTHING HAPPENED. The football passed into his son's hands and the actual photo he took was one of a cheerleader's pom-pom. Bob missed the touchdown too. He resisted an insane urge to slam the camera to the ground and jump on it.

This was his first digital camera, and Bob had just experienced an unpleasant surprise. He had used film cameras all his life, but when his Yashica went into the shop a friend loaned him a digital camera. He naively decided to take some action shots and discovered the most maddening "feature" of digital cameras the shutter delay.

MADDENING AND FRUSTRATING

Articles on this subject have attributed shutter delay to:

1. The camera's focus system

2. The time it takes the camera to digitally process the image

3. Reaction time of the photographer

Numbers one and three are lag times that most people using digital cameras are accustomed to. Most have used a film camera and know it needs a few milliseconds to focus.

The no-brainer solution is to reduce the aperture of the lens to increase depth of field, or aim the camera at the object you wish to be in focus and depress the shutter button half way in order to "tell" the camera what to focus on, then move the camera to center the image and depress it the rest of the way.

As far as human reaction time, well, it hasn't really changed much for users of film cameras, and people experienced in taking action shots usually get what they want.

So let's look at number 2, the time it takes to process the picture.

TIME TO DO THE PROCESSING

Processing the picture (so the camera can be ready for the next one) comes in several steps to move it from the image sensor to flash card storage:

1. Color corrections. The camera has to examine each and every Charge Couple Device (CCD) element on the photo sensor. It adds green, blue, and red to achieve the right color balance. For a 3 mega pixel camera, the processor has to make 9 million calculations.

2. Sharpening. This boosts the contrast by detecting and sharpening edges.

3. Compression. This process converts the 12 to 14 bits of each CCD sensor to 16 bits by "padding" the information and compressing it to 8 bits. This compresses the file size to 9 megabytes.

These steps require a tremendous amount of computational time. No wonder Bob missed his shot!

CATCHING THE ACTION

There are two ways of capturing action:

1. The "consecutive mode". If the camera has this mode, you can take a series of rapid shots moving through the event. This requires a camera with a large buffer" to hold photos for processing.

2. Anticipating shots by depressing and holding down the shutter release prior to the event. This requires an ability to predict the future, something most of us don't possess.

THE FUTURE OF FASTER SHOOTING

Obviously this would all be simplified if micro processing were faster. Even with large buffers, the speed in which data is transmitted to the processor is prohibited by the rate at which data is conveyed from the CCD. Micro processing speed is the next bottleneck.

Faster clock rates and data transfer speeds would reduce or even eliminate "shutter lag" time. There are several technologies in the wings that offer hope:

1. Nanotube and nanowire technologies. These are both the offspring of "nanotechnology", the ability to make tiny machines at the "nano" level, a billionth of a meter in size rather than a millionth of a meter (micrometer) and offer hope for a 500 GHz clock rate or more.

2. DNA Yes, you heard me right. Computing based on DNA strands in which information is stored and processed.

3. Other materials

Gallium Arsenide with much a faster speed has been used for years for military purposes.

Silicon-Germanium chips increase the transfer of light signals to silicon. These traditionally have worked best at ultra cold temperatures, but many computer simulations have shown that they may be made to approach 1000 GHz (1 THz) at room temperature.

Indium-antimonide. Much faster than silicon

Optical transistors. A glass material known as chalcogenide becomes a switch as its refracting properties are changed. No need to translate those photons into anything else.

Coated Viruses. The latest research involves coating viruses with a conducting material. Much higher speeds at the molecular level can be obtained. This will give a new meaning to the term "computer virus".

4. Parallel Processing As we've noticed lately with the war between Intel and AMD over the number of parallel processors crammed into a CPU, digital camera processing would benefit from parallel processors handling the focussing, sharpening and squeezing.

In addition, improvement in instructional efficiency by reducing the lines of code would make the whole process more efficient.

HOLD ON AND WAIT FOR THE FUTURE

The REAL solution to this maddening shutter delay appears to be in the material the processor is constructed of, as well as advancements in the software.

But we've got awhile to wait for it. Although a few alternate materials have been around for awhile, everything else is still in the research and development phase. Even when it finally trickles out of the labs, it will probably make your future digital camera cost around $10000 - $15000.

Quite a price tag for the ability to take pictures as fast as a film camera! Still

Except for the lag, the digital camera has it all over film cameras, once the photo is captured by the memory card. The new technology will be worth the wait.

Digital camera owners are known for their ability to waitas they desperately punch the shutter release trying to grab the fleeting smile of their new baby, or the football that lands in his hands eighteen years later, when he scores the winning touchdown.

The HD Media Future

The HD Media future

Everyone knows that media format wars have historical significance in the world of technology. Remember the most notorious battle between the Beta max and the VHS? The winner of such battles will make millions even billions. Later we had the upgrade of tape to CD, a revolution in music. In 1980 the Philips/Sony compact disc standard was finalized and nobody has looked back for the last 26 years (until mp3's came along).

Well as ever there is a new media battle but who will win again is yet unknown. This modern forest of technological mass has produced a new insurgency: THE HIGH DEFINITION WAR. Blu-ray vs HD-DVD are two competing formats which are eventually going to replace DVD's. As you look around at your local electric retailers you can see changes happening in the broadcast world, not only are we changing from our conventional CRT screens to Flat screen but also to HD ready TV. The impact this has on our lives is not as large as black and white to colour, but nevertheless a change that will definitely be a benchmark for future media.

Why New formats?

The reason we have introduced these new formats is that your traditional DVD can hold a maximum of 9.4 GB (Dual Layer) of information. This is not enough for HD broadcast as the information required is higher, being a resolution of 1920x1080. Blu-ray discs can hold 50 GB (Dual Layer) and HD-DVD 30 GB (Dual Layer).

These new discs cannot be played on normal DVD players but on new HD media players of which examples are Samsung BDP 1000 (Blu-Ray), Sony Playstation 3 (Blu-Ray), Toshiba HDXA1 (HD-DVD). This means spending more money for better resolution.

Price

This is always important especially when new models of media come out; at first it is always expensive as supply out strips demand. The players are expensive, the cheapest being the Playstation 3 supposedly retailing at 549. Blu-Ray media also being expensive; similar to DVD's when they first came out (taking inflation into consideration), blank media costing from 11.99 to 24.99.

To play a Blu-ray Disc on a PC has brought about a price concern. The fact that you have to purchase a HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) Graphic card, along with a HD monitor, not to mention a Blu-ray Drive and media, controversially may bring about decrease in sales. This is presently being contested with new Laptops and PCs that are Blu-ray compatible, look at the New Vaio VGN-AR21S.

The HD players need to be up to scratch on price. The Toshiba HD-DVD player retailing at almost half the price of the Blu-ray Samsung player creates even more competition between the two media. This could encourage sales of HD-DVD over Blu-ray, even though it's rumoured that Toshiba will be making a loss initially.

Prices of movies doesn't seem to be as high as anticipated; a Blu-ray movie 'House of flying daggers' from amazon.com will set you back $19.95 (10.68). This may encourage sales. Movies in HD-DVD identical in price, yet Blu-ray is a larger size disc.

Upscaling

Another problem HD may face is that the new DVD players have the upscaling technology ie. DVD is played at 480p but upscalers upgrade the image to 720p or 1080i. This produces a picture which is of high quality to the untrained eye, in fact even the trained eye has difficulty distinguishing between the two. The difference is seen on a 50 inch HD projector and looking right up close. So the question is will 1080p be much different to 1080i? Will people fork out the added expense when they know that a cheaper DVD upscaler will create more or less the same effect?

Media Backup

Software and Hardware companies have invested a lot of money in subsidising HD media. Samsung, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, LG, Sony, TDK, JVC and Sharp support Blu-ray and Toshiba and Microsoft back HD-DVD. Hollywood movie studios Disney, Paramount, Warner, Sony, Eagle rock, Fox and MGM and Lions gate support Blu-ray also. None of these large companies would take such a gamble if they didn't know that this is what the consumer wants.

PlayStation 3

Sony love to bring out their own media whether its Sony Duo Sticks or Sony Mini Discs. Their hunger to dominate the consumer market has always been there and this is nothing different. The Playstation 3 will play Blu-Ray discs, still having the ability to play older media like DVDs and CDs. The success of the predecessor's PS1 and PS2 will give much anticipation to the release of this new console and is what Sony are hoping will convert people to use Blu-Ray. A Sony spokesman has predicted that Blu-Ray will dominate the HD market within 12 months.

The encouraging feature with HD-DVD is the name, everyone's ears will ring with the name and automatically assume that this is a high definition movie. Asking someone in the street what 'Blu-ray' is will bring looks of confusion, along with the fact that both will produce similar quality pictures.

Region Coding

Region coding with Blu-Ray may put people off; the fact that you may not be able to watch a new release from the states or Japan on your European locked regional player will raise eyebrows.

REGION 1 South America, North America, East Asia (except China)
REGION 2 Europe and Africa
REGION 3 China, Russia other Countries

Multiregional configurations on DVD players has encouraged sales worldwide especially with worldwide films from Bollywood, Japan (manga) and South America.

So far the HD-DVD camp has not announced region coding just yet, and if they don't then this will be very advantageous for consumers.

Future Proof

Realistically you only need about 15-20 GB for a feature length film in High definition but who would have known that DVD's could not be able to hold enough for high definition. Theoretically they can with MPEG-4 Compression. In any case media like Blu-ray will hopefully be future proof in years to come.

Conclusion

The timescale and price are the two main issues here, how quick we will universally change to HD and whether this is affordable. From a consumer point of view the necessity for HD doesn't seem imperative, after all VHS was around for 20 odd years twice that of DVD (so far). You could argue that technology is changing exponentially and that changes occur quicker.

As for the battle between the two media there may be compromise ahead. A UK firm has announced a solution to the media war. London-based New Medium Enterprises (NME) has developed a low-cost, multilayer DVD disc that can store Blu-ray content on one layer and HD DVD content on another. This would leave the consumer with the choice of buying either type of player to play the one disc.

The key setback I feel with the looming HD change is the cheaper alternative to a Blu-Ray player or HD-DVD player, the DVD upscaler. Do people want to get rid of those hundreds of DVDs they bought to replace them with an expensive alternative, especially when they might not even notice the difference in picture quality?

However I do feel that HD is encouraged with consoles such as the Playstation 3. Blu-ray is its main format and may revolutionise the games industry.

Symptoms And Signs Of Arthritis

With over a 100 different forms of arthritis, it can be difficult to determine which type a patients has. Pinpointing arthritis symptoms can help expedite the diagnoses of arthritis.

Arthritis means joint inflammation, and this is a result of having arthritis. Some forms of arthritis can actually affect bodys organs and can cause death.

Arthritis symptoms in the initial stages can be somewhat undefined. Vague pain and being tired may accompany joint pain that can occur occasionaly. Most of the specific pain surrounds the joints of the patient. These arthritis symptoms can be in the form of direct joint pain, redness and warmth around the joints, swelling and tenderness around the joint and the patient may experience limited range of motion in the joint.

Arthritis symptoms are important to keep track of in order to get definitive diagnoses. When a patient begins seeking medical advice in regards to their symptoms, the patients history will play an important part in being able to determine the form of arthritis that they have.

A doctor will also perform a physical evaluation of a patient that is experiencing arthritis symptoms. This can be in the form of looking at the patients joints, and determining motion range. The doctor may also be searching for warm or red joints, and will ask the patient numerous questions in order to get a clear physical picture of the patient. Arthritis symptoms may not be obvious to a patient, so the doctors questioning can lead to a proper diagnoses.

There are several major forms of arthritis. Discovering which arthritis symptoms go with these diseases can help in finding out which form of arthritis a patient has. Rheumatoid Arthritis has some classic arthritis symptoms, including severe morning stiffness, the small bones of the hands and feet may be swollen and painful and extreme fatigue are common arthritis symptoms in Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Osteoarthritis often appears as a constant pain in a specific joint. This pain may be more evident after continued use of the joint. The pain is more common later in the day, and this form of arthritis can also occur with other arthritis conditions.

Psoriatic Arthritis affects not only the joints but also the skin. The arthritis symptoms associated with this arthritis include, swollen joints and red, patchy and scaly skin. This form of arthritis has an impact on both joints and skin areas.

Anklosing spondylitis is another form of arthritis. The arthritis symptoms associated with this disease include, severe lower back pain that will progress up the spine and into the ribs. This form is very painful and begins with chronic lower back pain.

As arthritis is a very common condition, learning some of the classic arthritis symptoms can assist a patient in getting the proper treatment.

You can work independently, moving onward on your own pace and concentrate on the specific topics of your interest as you complete your assignments. You are encouraged to elaborate your own learning style and choose a form of course materials which suits you better.

You can quickly earn a degree without attending a physical university and also you have an excellent opportunity to spread your course out for a longer period of time.

Thus, in short online education means students no longer have to quit their jobs to attend college, no longer have to take time off from work to attend a specific course and spend hours in rush hour traffic or drive 200 miles to the nearest University. It also means students learn at their own pace, gain more one-on-one access to their instructors and earn degrees in less time than it would take to juggle traditional courses.

In just a few years, the Internet has turned online education into a multi-billion-dollar-a-year industry; the majority of colleges and universities now offer some form of distance learning as part of their curriculum. And with the benefits we've listed here it's easy to see why online education has become so popular.

Working adults can now continue their education, earn higher degrees, and earn more money by attending courses that primarily take place over the Internet.

How to Decorate Your Home Like a Professional

Learn how to decorate your home like the professionals by using the furnishings you already own. You can create eye-catching visual appeal and a warm, inviting atmosphere with these designer secrets.

Traditionally, decorators start by deciding on a "decorating style". Popular styles include Traditional, Contemporary and Cottage. There are also geographic themes like Southwest, Oriental and French as well as styles that recreate an era like Victorian or Art Deco.

If you've furnished your home with random pieces that came from a variety of sources, then you probably have the informal Eclectic look. Whether you call it a decorating style or a hodge-podge of furniture finds, Eclectic pieces are a reflection of your individual tastes and almost anything can be used. Simply keep these professional tips in mind.

Proportion: Balance your room by placing large pieces of furniture around your living space. If possible, tall items like bookcases and grandfather clocks should be across from one another to keep the room from looking lop-sided. Then add smaller pieces like tables in the spaces where they will be convenient and attractive. If you have small furnishings or decorator objects, group them in uneven numbers like one, three or five items together.

Color: Nature's colors like white, cream, brown, green and blue are normally neutral in a decorating scheme. Black is grounding and should be saved for small pieces.

Large areas like walls look best with a lighter color. A darker or contrasting color can be used on one wall for a dramatic effect. Beautiful paint makes pictures and decor "pop" out of the background and increases their intensity. Try using warm colors like pink, peach or mauve. Or paint with soothing colors like blue or green. Remember, if you don't like it, you can always paint over it!

Floor coverings may be wood, tile or carpet of the same color or a darker hue than the walls. Area or throw rugs may then be added to add interest, color or texture. Rugs also serve as protection from dirt and scuffs.

Accents: These include small decorator pieces and items of personal interest. Keep collections together in one area to highlight their uniqueness. Very small collections can be placed on a tray or attractively displayed on a table. You may also want to consider using some of your flat items as wall decor, especially if you are limited on space.

Throw pillows make a room feel comfortable. They are an easy and inexpensive way to change color accents. Afghans, throws and quilts thrown casually over a sofa or chair add texture and warmth.

Lighting: Good lighting is the key to your decorating success. Attractive floor lamps with light colored shades provide ambient light for the entire room. Table lamps highlight small decorating objects as well as providing concentrated light for reading, working and study. Shades for small lamps can match your furnishings or be conversation pieces with a different color and style.

If you want a warm and inviting atmosphere that is unique to your home and personality, then the Eclectic look is for you. Have fun with your furnishings and create your own "decorating style" today.

Identity Theft Nine Threats & Nine Steps To Protection

The Bad News: Identity theft is escalating at a torrid pace. It has become one of the countrys top problems. The bad guys are finding more ways to steal YOUR identity.

The Good News: You can take control of the situation, become both reactive and proactive guarding yourself against identity theft.

Identity Theft Is Spreading Faster Than The Worst Case Of The Flu!

First, lets understand just how bad identity theft has become in this country:

The Federal Trade Commission says that there is an underground market for credit card numbers, social security numbers and ID documents organized gangs or web mobs use and sell these documents for as little as $10 each. Some of these groups contain thousands of members. The amount of goods and services purchased with fraudulently obtained personal identity exceeded 52-billion dollars in 2004.

US Department of Justice states identity theft is affecting millions of households in the U.S. each year. The cost is estimated to be six-point-four billion per year. According to the FTC, an estimated 10 million adults become victims of identity theft each year.

The Department of Justice goes on to say that the most common misuse of identity was through credit cards, accounting for 50 percent of all identity theft. Next in line were banking and other types of accounts at 25 percent, personal information was 15 percent, and a combination of several types of identity theft was at 12 percent. The average loss for each identity theft was $1,290.00. Two-thirds of those surveyed said the theft cost them money despite credit card coverage.

A recent State of the Net survey by Consumer Reports which covered more than 2000 households with Internet Access projects that American consumers lost more than eight-billion dollars over the last two years to viruses, spyware and various scams. The report also shows consumers face a one-in-three chance of becoming a cyber victim about the same as last year. It goes on to say that consumers lost $630 million over the past two years to e-mail scams.

The average person today suffers through two or more incidents with their computer each year - the computer slows to a crawl, crashes altogether, viruses or spyware take over systems and more. Its getting worse as computers become more complex and as we do more with them.

So, Who Is At Risk For Identity Theft?

According to the Department of Justice there are three groups that are most at risk for identity theft: young adults 18 to 24, adults who earn $75,000 per year or more and households in urban and suburban area. Interesting to note that about five percent of adults who earn $75,000 or more a year are hit with identity theft.

The continued growth of online fraud and identity theft are putting an enormous strain on the existing infrastructure for the Internet as well as our social structure. For example, the banking community has been complacent about security upgrades required by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council. They report that every bank in the country has not complied with their guidelines set for now. In an article titled, U.S. Banks Complacent Toward Identity Theft Solution, by PR Web, the single largest national security threat is a terrorist attack on our banking system. An attack aimed simultaneously at millions of user names and passwords within banks would shut down our banking system. This would instantly shut down banks worldwide. Credit/debit cards, checks, calls to the bank, would not work for at least a matter of days causing tremendous hardship and a ripple effect from no gas to I simply have to take this baby food.

Consider for a moment some of the potential social effects from this identity theft problem. What if citizens developed a lack of confidence in our credit card and monetary system causing economic upheaval similar to what we saw in the Great Depression? I know this sounds radical, but what if you couldnt trust your identity to anyone anymore? What if you feared that your money, your identity was going to be stolen? Its not unthinkable that you would store your money under your mattress at home or in a safe in the closet rather than possibly losing it to identity theft. If millions of people lost faith in our monetary system and the ability to keep their identity safe and then took all of their money home where they believe it would be safe, what would happen then?

We generally cant control what happens outside of our personal environment, what happens at a bank, corporation or the government seems so far out of reach. There are, however, steps that we can take that will give us a better chance of protecting our personal information. The first step is identifying the threats and then taking steps to protect ourselves.

Below, I have identified nine identity theft threats and nine steps to protect our identity in todays society.

Nine Threats To Your Identity

Here are nine of the most popular ways for thieves to steal your identity. Some of these are personally preventable and others are out of our control:

1. Stolen Company Data. Your personal information is stored on computers at stores where you shop, at your insurance company, your accountant, and more. It almost seems like a common occurrence where a company is hacked into and their customers information is stolen. This happens so often now that the crimes are rarely reported and dont make the front page anymore.

2. Social Engineering. Identity Thieves are very clever. They will invent any way possible to fool you into giving your identity out. Its called social engineering because the thief uses common social situations to get the information they want. Like a seemingly innocent phone call supposedly from your credit card company asking for your personal information.

3. Dumpster Diving. Identity thieves get a lot of their victims information out of garbage cans and recycle bins from old credit card statements and other personal documents thrown out carelessly.

4. Mail Theft. Your mail can contain valuable information: bills, banking information, credit cards, investments and more. Personal mail can often be stolen right from a mailbox.

5. Financial Account Hijacking. Once a thief has your personal information they can take over your personal accounts. You might not know about their activity for months.

6. Credit Card Magnetic Strip Theft. These clever crooks have tools to steal information off the magnetic strips on your credit card.

7. Discarded Computers. Your old computer really can tell stories. Even though you erased your hard drive crooks have tools to reclaim your personal information and use it against you.

8. Spyware and Viruses on Computers. You may not be familiar with the term malware. Its a term that covers all of the hacker tools that can cause harm on your computer. These tools include spyware, keylogger tools, Trojan horses and more.

9. E-mail and Internet Scams. Cyber thieves are getting more and more creative using scams like Phishing, Pharming and fancy come-ons to entice you to give them your personal information.

There Are Four Ways You Can Approach Protecting Your Identity...

One way is to do nothing and hope that identity thieves dont harm you.

Second, you can be reactive. Reactive simply means that you are responding to all the material that comes your way. You are checking your credit card and bank statements to make sure nothing peculiar is on them. And if you do find something strange you contact your bank or credit card company immediately. Reactive also means that you are checking your credit report when you apply for credit or a loan.

Third, you can be proactive. A proactive approach is a more aggressive way of protecting yourself against the bad guys. You are constantly looking ahead and evaluating before giving out valuable information.

And fourth, combine reactive and proactive approaches. This is the best way to ensure you identity protection.

Nine Critical Steps To Proactively Protecting Your Identity...

Here are your Nine Proactive Steps To Identity Protection:

1. Begin to operate on an I have to know everything approach when you give out your personal information. Only give out your personal information to people you know and trust.

2. Protect your Social Security Number, credit card and other financial information. Do not give this information out over the phone unless you initiated the call or as we stated above are talking to a trusted individual from a trusted company.

3. Cancel all of your unused accounts including banking, credit card, licenses and permits.

4. At least once a year, if not more often, update and check your credit report and Social Security Earnings and Benefits Statement to make sure everything appears as it should.

5. Protect your mail. Make sure you have a secure locked mailbox to receive all of your mail. Always mail your payments and checks from a secure Post Office Box or from the Post Office. And, if you have a Post Office Box at the Post Office never discard your mail in a garbage can. Always bring your entire mail home.

6. Always crosscut shred all bank statements, credit card applications or information and important documents before discarding to recycle or the garbage. It is best to stir up the shredded documents to make it even harder for identity thieves to steal your information.

7. Purchase identity theft insurance. This will cover any losses incurred while recovering your lost identity once a crook has stolen it.

8. Invest in professional grade protection for your computer. The best protection available today comes from Managed Internet Security Service providers. The best security services include best-of-breed corporate grade security software for your computer, as well as unlimited service and support from trained security pros. Make sure it is the same kind of service that is used by major corporations around the world. Frankly, the over-the-counter and free security software programs available dont keep up with todays professional cyber thief. If those popular programs worked, why do we see the cyber-crime problem growing at a progressively faster pace?

A managed professional Internet security program should have the following technologies installed: A bi-directional or dual Firewall that prevents information from coming in or going out of your computer without your permission, anti-virus protection that is updated daily, and malware protection that is updated daily. Malware consists of spyware, adware, Trojan horses, keyloggers and more. It constantly changes so you will need a technology that keeps up with the professional hackers who want your identity. Your best bet is to find a professional security service that affordably manages all this for you.

9. Beware of e-mail scams like Phishing and Pharming. Phishing is an e-mail that looks like it came from a bank or business claiming you need to take care of a problem or your account will be closed down. It takes you to a page to fill out your personal information. Meanwhile, Pharming is redirecting your computer from a legitimate to a fake web site. For example, you may think that you are going to your banking site, but instead are redirected to a site that looks like your banks web site, but is hosted by an identity thief.

Identity theft continues to grow at a torrid pace. Millions of people in the United States will lose their identity to thieves in the coming year. Many of them will suffer for years trying to clean up the mess that was left behind.

The bad news is we cant control all of the identity threats we face each day. The good news is there are reactive and proactive steps we can take to protect ourselves against personal tragedy.

The Antispyware Dilemma.

Staying clear of spurious antispyware can keep your pc protected. Hordes of products out there do not keep their promise of cleaning up your pc of spyware. Worse still, you might buy an antispyware product that does just the opposite - install new adware and spyware.

Spyware is something we cannot escape from if we use the Internet. But if we stay abreast of how some antispyware vendors can take advantage of us with useless products, fake product reviews and advertisements that mislead us on sites we trust, we can make an informed choice in eliminating these hoaxes.

How can you keep from being cheated?

Fake and useless antispyware software can crawl into your system. If you suspect that your system has spyware, you will invest in reliable adware removal and antispyware packages to prevent future problems for your computer. But you have to be very cautious about which antispyware you choose. There are hordes of products out there that do not keep their promise of cleaning up your pc of spyware. Worse still, you might buy an antispyware product that does just the opposite - install new adware and spyware.

Another hassle is that fake antispyware programs might be able to find and eliminate only certain spyware and tracking cookies that don't pose a serious threat. The actual problem may continue to reside on your pc. Most adware programs continue download adware, so you just have a constant scare about what might happen to your pc.

The thing about adware and spyware is that they are changing all the time, so while you might think you've eliminated one lot, a totally different set might have landed on your computer that you cannot detect easily. The people who produce adware, spyware and Trojans are shrewd, providing a challenge to the most effective antispyware in the market. You might be thinking that you are buying reliable antispyware tools, when you might actually be paying for bundled adware, viruses, browser hijacker and all the things you want to remove from your system.

What About Antispyware Reviews

Sites that claim to provide authentic antispyware product reviews abound on the Internet. These may be of questionable credibility and may not give you an unbiased review of the antispyware's abilities. There are shady companies that pretend to rank high on Google, leading you to think that the reviews are believable.

The worst of the lot is those fake companies that use those disgusting banner advertisements, which offer to scan your pc. They use graphics to show a progress bar just like the one you see when you actually scan your pc. They show results that are obviously not the real thing but a demonstration of how the software may work. Beware of these cheats. They link you to sites that are supposed to fix the spyware problem. These also land up in your email inbox as part of the email message.

Armed with the above information, you can research and select an antispyware package from a reliable source.

Which Government Websites Have Product Recall Information?

There is no one government agency in charge of issuing recall notices for all products. Instead, different products fall under different jurisdictions, each of which is handled by a completely separate agency. In this article we will explain the jurisdiction of each of the six major government agencies in charge of recalling products and issuing recall alerts.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) - http://www.fda.gov:
The FDA is probably most thought of when the word recall comes up. It is obvious that the FDA deals with food and drug issues, but they are also in charge of testing, monitoring and recalling medical devices (pacemakers, contact lenses...), animal feed, cosmetics, and products with the potential to cause health-related side effects, such as cell phones and lasers. Although the FDA is in charge of food, they also share that responsibility with the next federal agency

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - http://www.usda.gov:
The USDA was founded by President Abraham Lincoln in 1862, and has been involved in a variety of agricultural initiatives ever since. Not only is the USDA steward to our nation's 192 million acres of national forests, and providing food to children through school breakfast and lunch programs, but the agency is also responsible for the safety of meat, poultry (including egg), milk and fish products. These responsibilities often encompass the study of pesticide use, which overlaps with the next governmental recall arm...

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - http://www.epa.gov:
The EPA, in addition to the many other responsibilities involved in protecting our environment, are charged with the recalling of products that threaten to harm humans, animals, or the environment in which we live. For instance, recently the EPA ordered five national retail chains to recall a brand of spray confetti string which contained banned hydro chlorofluorocarbons blamed for depleting the ozone layer. This very same product could have also been recalled by another government agency, however, for its highly flammable contents, which are often sprayed over people at birthday parties near flaming candles. The agency that would be responsible for this type of recall is...

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) - http://www.cpsc.gov:
The CPSC is in charge of protecting the public from "unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from more than 15,000 types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction". They handle recalls for a host of potentially dangerous products, from toys with choking hazards to heaters with propensity to start a fire. Most products with a defect of some kind will find their way into the CPSC database of recalled consumer products. But if that product has wheels and an engine, or is a part of a product that has wheels and an engine, you might be better off researching at the next governmental agency...

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) - http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov:
The NHTSA was established to reduce deaths, injuries and economic losses resulting from motor vehicle crashes. They set and enforce safety standards for motor vehicles and vehicle parts, and provide studies and reports on anything related to motor vehicle use, from tires and seatbelts, to SUVs and cell phone use while driving. If you want to know if the used car you just purchased has any defective auto parts, the NHTSA database is a good start. However, if you just purchased a used boat, the following agency is better suited for your needs...

US Coast Guard - http://www.uscg.mil:
You probably dont think of product recalls when someone mentions the Coast Guard. However, in addition to their duties to patrol Americas coast line and assist those in distress, the Coast Guard also tests, reports on, and recalls boats, boating parts, and marine safety devices like flares and life jackets. But good luck finding recall information on the Coast Guards website!

As you can see, the responsibilities of each agency overlap to some degree with other agencies. Furthermore, issuing recall alerts is only a small part of each organizations responsibility. This is why is can be difficult, time-consuming and frustrating to locate the information youre looking for among these six websites. Luckily, this problem has been remedied by an ex-journalist with a passion for social corporate responsibility and citizen journalism

US Recall News http://www.usrecallnews.com:
US Recall News is a non-governmental website that brings together recall alerts from each of the six major government agencies listed above, and separates them into various categories. The alerts are then archived at the end of each month, and remain searchable from the website.

The Offering of Online Degrees

This article will give you information concerning online degrees and what types of online degrees are being offered.

On the World Wide Net, assorted degrees are presented at thousands of universities online. These days, it seems everybody is getting in the cracks to unlock doors to new universities while presenting degrees online.

Sometimes, you come across online schools that take you for a ride, but a small amount of online universities and schools are out to see to your education. Education is one of the most significant parts of our life. In my view, I do not feel anything as well could exceed education.

A tiny number of online colleges and schools are costly. The programs are equivalent with standard universities; though, the universities may not help students with government or federal grants. The grants could help you and your family while going to school, particularly if you have low income. For that basis, taking into importance of online degrees, pricing is important.

Still, other facts must be thought about. The kinds of online degrees are just as significant as the money you pay out for the degrees. If you are uncertain of the kind of degree you desire to acquire, it is smart to do a little investigation to see what is presented to you. When thinking about online degrees outline all facts offered at the university and think about the outlook of the degree. If the degree presents you, a satisfying future and a profession that makes it worth your while, then determining the degree could prove advantageous.

You will also want to think about you, when choosing online degrees. What kind of person are you? What do you desire to acquire in life? What are your aspirations? What do you like achieving the most? What attracts you in one area over other areas? This is simply a tiny list of analyzing questions you can pose when thinking about online degrees.

A number of people go to college without identifying the direction they are heading. When they spend working toward further education, they regularly discover in the middle of courses that the fascination is not there. Money spent, time wasted. As you can see, having a general idea of you is significant when earning a degree.

Hopefully the information that you have read so far has got you thinking more about the online degrees and whether it is what you are desire.

General problems inside the educational system are students attending classes that produce frustration. I dont have time for this. This is a misuse of time. Why am I doing this? If you are feeling like this in a classroom then clearly you dont have your priorities together and you are earning a degree that means nothing to you.

Degrees are worthy tools in which we can use to advance our future goals, and produce results from the degree once earned. If you dont have goals, motive, direction, intentions, will, and honesty to advance your education, probably you will pay thousands of dollars for degrees that will get you nowhere. Thus, knowing you first is vital before choosing degrees on or offline.

If you dont like computers then that is another problem. If you feel computers are maddening then obtaining courses offline might work best for you. Some people simply despise computers and feel the computers are nothing but trouble.

Then again, perhaps you are infatuated with computers and like hours upon hours in a chat room, or surfing the Net. This could head to trouble if you are taking courses online. Distractions have no room in top education.

As you can see degrees, priorities, directions, pricing and other facts play a big part in earning online degrees.

Determining degrees is hard since hundreds of degrees are on hand at your disposal. The universities and schools online present degrees in law, business, podiatry, arts, forensics, executive, animal care, healthcare, administration, accounting, bookkeeping, biochemistry, and the roll continues. While the information is short, it can present you an overview of what the online colleges and schools could recommend you.

As children, we all have dreams. When I grow up, I want to be a fireman. When I grow up, I want to be a veterinarian. These are short-term dreams that often turn into, I want to be a programmer, or I want to be a doctor. If you are thinking about online degrees put on your thinking cap and debate.

There are more articles concerning online degrees if you are still debating whether it is right for you. Never do something that you are unsure about. Get more information so you make the right decision.

Are You Prepared For An Organic Skin Care Routine?

Skin has many important functions in our body such as: protection, excretion and nourishing. It protects against UV rays by absorbing and converting them into dark pigment to prevent further damage. The skin is also the largest excretion organ, eliminating bodily waste through its pores. Its oily glands secrete sebum, which maintains the elasticity of the skins surface. The water skin storage helps metabolic reactions, minerals and vitamins absorption.

Today, when people are more concerned about side effects, due to chemicals in personal care, when traces of parabens (preservatives) were found in breast tissue, organic herbs and genuine oils in skincare formulations become a necessity.

The general knowledge about herbs as ingredients in personal care along with the understanding of skin functions can open unlimited possibilities for people to choose a proper skin routine, free of side effects.

A natural and organic treatment for the skin has the same importance for your inner health as a natural and organic food. The natural and organic skin care routine becomes the new way of finding the right approach to feed the skin.

Skin requires water, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, proteins for its cells as much as your inner body needs them for a proper metabolic function of its organs. This is the natural and valid way of obtaining a younger looking skin for a long period of time while keeping the skin healthy.

The name natural or organic in skin care becomes very controversial since usually natural ingredients are mixed with chemical ingredients for the sake of nice and fluffy structure and for a long and strong preservation of the products.

If you are looking for a nice looking cream with white and fluffy structure you will never find it to be a real natural cream unless they contain bleach and/or stabilizers.

One or two natural ingredients are not enough to start all chain reactions necessary to promote extended collagen and elastin production, or other vital metabolic reactions.

Many chemical ingredients in a formulation that also contain natural ingredients can induce oxidation of the last releasing free radicals that can damage the skin.

On the other hand, chemical substances can mimic similar structures with natural active constituents and compete for the same cell receptors. The result is the diminishing of the effects of the natural constituents.

Some chemicals are very difficult to eliminate from the skin due to their unrecognizable structure and tend to accumulate in different parts of the body and even block the skin pores makes the toxin elimination very difficult.

In conclusion: Be very careful when you choose a natural cream; be aware when you see more than one or two unknown names (chemicals) in a natural product. Be picky as if you were choosing a proper outfit. Dont be tricked by fancy advertising. Look carefully at the ingredients of your skin care products as you would look for side effects on a prescription medication.

Getting Your Words On The Web- Writer's Web Resources

How to find work.

You love to write but you're finding it difficult to market yourself or your work. Is it best to work as a "private contractor," or should you work for an established company such as St. Martin's Press? Maybe it's best to post your services/skills on a site such as Craigslist.com and then wait for people to contact you. Or, maybe, you should use Craigslist.com or a similar website to check out and respond to individuals or companies who are offering work. What to do, what to do?

Your opportunity to write as little or as much as you want is right at your fingertips, literally. There are dozens of websites that focus on writing positions available online. Some of them offer actual jobs or links to actual jobs. Others post suggestions about how you can find writing opportunities on any topic, from dental floss to steam engines. You can explore writing jobs where you "telecommute," as well as ones where you work in an office - or a combination of both.

If you've written or are in the process of writing a book or short story, there are websites that tell you who to contact in order to get your work published. Poems? The same thing.

In other words, it's a "heyday" out there for writers who are willing to invest some time and effort.

Picking and choosing.

Having visited many of the websites devoted to writers, you now have the opportunity to decide exactly how to proceed. For example, let's say you've written a series of five informative articles about how to locate no-cost legal services. Now, you want to get paid for your efforts. Visiting websites that specifically cater to people like yourself could start you on the road to success. You might even be lucky enough to find a publisher who's willing to pay a percentage up front. Visiting writer-specific websites gives you the chance to "pick and choose" about how you'll proceed.

While visiting a website that offered "writing gigs," for example, a person searching the Internet found a business that was soliciting individuals to write e-books on several different topics - one of them being basketry. As it was, this topic greatly appealed to the person, because they collected all kinds of quality baskets. Realizing this was a "slam-dunk," they agreed to write a 12,000-13,000 word e-book about basketry, including imported photographs, for a set fee of $750.00. Not bad for a few day's work!

The web's your world!

There's lots to be said about using websites, available through the Internet, when researching topics for almost any type of writing assignment. That's why these websites are such an essential tool for everyone who's exploring a specific topic or topics. This is true for "professional" writers, as well as for students who are researching a term paper, or an individual needing to complete a written test to qualify for employment. By simply logging on, the web becomes your opening to the world. Every country, no matter how big or small, offers information, via the web, about their history, culture(s), educational system and more. It's out there waiting for you - even if it's posted in a language you don't read or understand! Writers can spend days or even weeks scouting websites for detailed, accurate and little known facts about their chosen topic. By using websites, particularly those designed especially for writers, you can link yourself to profits while engaging in a very pleasurable pastime.

Financial Urban Legends: The Credit Boogie Man

It's raining...Its thundering. The lightening is casting your shadow against the wall as it flashes in the night sky. You look under the bed...nothing. You cut the bathroom light on...nothing. You cut it back off. Only one other place left to look, and that's the closet. You begin to walk slowly to the closet. Oddly, you hear that eerie horror music in your mind, not remembering leaving the door cracked like it is.

Your heart starts racing. Your brow begins to perspire with beads of sweat. You reach to grab the door knob, with a twist and pull it open...nothing! Whew! Your pulse slows to its normal pace. You laugh to yourself, thinking how silly you were acting. Its a little chilly, so you grab your jacket from a hanger. Wait...something is wrong.

You feel the inside pocket and there are several envelops. Spreading the envelops over the bed, chill bumps begin to erupt all over your body. It can't be. Its not possible. The mortgage payment. The car note. All the utilities. Water, gas, and light bills...all there. How?! You know without a doubt that you put these in the mail weeks ago. A quick glance at the calender and your chill bumps double in number. All are now OVER 30 DAYS late!

"Ha...ha...ha!" Then again even louder, "HA...HA...HA!" As you run to the window, you catch a faint glimpse of something fading into the rainy night in the yard. Snow has more color to it than your skin does at this point. The night wind echoes one final message. "Your...(your...your) Score...(score..score) Shall...(shall...shall) FALL...(fall...fall).

This is what most likely happened.

You had that jacket on three or four weeks ago meaning to drop the bills in the mail, but forgot. Just like children have their 'my dog ate my homework' story, we adults have our 'Credit Boogie Man' urban legends. The 'Credit Boogie' man didn't damage your credit score, you did. But not to worry, there is always time to change your perception on the proper use of credit.

First you need to obtain a copy of all three of your credit scores and reports. MyFico(.com) handles scores and reports for Eqifax. CreditExpert(.com) handles reports and scores for Experian. TransUnion uses TrueCredit(.com) as their site to get your report and score. And yes, I'm aware that you can get a copy of each of your reports from each bureau free from AnnualCreditReport(.com), but most people don't know that your score is not free. You will still have to go through one of the sites I listed above to get your scores (did you really think it would be that easy).

What I suggest to my clients is a double sided attack. As you try to get negative marks removed from your file, you also should be taking steps to add positive marks to your file. This creates a synergy effect, boosting your score faster than what could be done by each tactic separately.

Start with the easy accounts. Look for entries that are not even yours, these should be very easy to remove from your file. Next, look for items that have been paid (or maybe still not paid) and they're seven years older or more. The seven year period begins 180 days after account goes into default (post 97 law changes) or last date of activity. This can be tricky.

This is 2006, so anything from 1999 and back would be good candidates to attack. But what if you made a payment (but not total amount) in 2004, and then stopped paying again. This would make your seven years begin over from 2004 instead of 1999

Now, lets start adding positive trade lines to your credit file. Don't have a lot of money, then you'll love this strategy. Get several loans from different lending institutions. Depending on the amount of funds you have access to use for this strategy, banks may be not be an available avenue. Here's the easiest way to handle this situation. Obtain a passbook savings account loan.

Here's where it gets interesting. Most banks won't do this unless you have $10k or more in your saving account. Wow! A better solution are credit unions. This is what I have done before and still do on occasion. Call your credit union (or one you'll join) and ask them about their savings account secured loans. Most will allow you to make yearly payments, meaning you don't have to make payments during the course of the loan. If that isn't good enough, you can renew the loan for another year by simply paying the INTEREST ONLY that's due.

This is what you can do to fund the loan. When you get paid, go by the credit union and place (or open an account) your cashed check money into the account. Then turn right around fill out the loan paperwork and have your funds back in you hands. Now, just rinse and repeat these steps with several credit unions. My credit report shows these accounts as 'paid as agreed'. What else could it show. I don't make any payments, therefore there's no way to be 30 (or more) days late.

You must prepare yourself. Who knows? Maybe next time the 'Credit Boogie Man' won't be able to cause so much drama in your life.

Investing In The Indian Stock Market

Investing in Indian Shares - The Indian Stock Market and Technical Analysis

After every trading day, data from the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange is scanned by a program which uses a sixteen part mathematical filter. This filter looks for price trend patterns which indicate a top performing Indian stock.

By using this mathematical process (technical analysis) the hot stocks can be discovered and listed according to performance. This result is completely free of personal opinion or any other sort of deliberate bias. Indian shares listed in the free daily report have been showing excellent technical characteristics up to the date of analysis. This does not mean that the good performance will continue.

The Indian Stock Market report contains:

(1) Name of the security.
(2) Previous closing price.
(3) Percentage rate of change over the past ten and sixty days trading.
(4) Index Relativity.
(5) Percentage drop from the highest price over the past sixty trading days.

The Index Relativity compares the percentage rate of change of the price over the past five trading days to the BSE Sensex Index percentage rate of change over the same period. This will tell you, the investor how the Indian stock is performing when compared to the market index.

It is an advantage to combine the technical analysis (link) report with quality fundamental analysis (link). When both agree then there is a higher probability of continuing performance. These fundamentals can be obtained from your Stock Broker.

You can obtain this free daily report without any registration or signups required. It is produced for you after every trading day and is available from http://www.sharesdaily.in

Hidden Advantages To An Online It Degree

Some people mistakenly assume that a traditional IT program with on-campus classes is somehow more marketable or accepted in the working world. Nothing could be further from the truth. Online educational programs have come a long way in the last ten years and today some of the top schools in the country offer distance education programs through the Internet. In fact, getting an online IT degree can give you some hidden advantages when you actually get out to search for a job.

One hidden advantage of an online IT degree is that it is very job-focused. Many traditional in-classroom degrees are simply not that transferable to the working world. Degrees may take a long time and may focus on theoretical, abstract ideas rather than skills that are readily transferable to an actual job. An online IT educational program, on the other hand, is specifically designed to give you the skills and knowledge you will need in a career. Many faculty members in these degree programs have real-life experience in the field rather than just academic credentials. They really understand the exact skills you need to succeed in the field and are happy to pass these skills onto students. When you complete your program of studies, you will have a number of highly desirable skills that translate seamlessly into a job. With your education, there will be no need to explain how your degree is significant for a job.

Another hidden advantage is that an online IT degree saves you time. There is no superfluous time wasted on abstract theories and less-than-useful subjects. You will not be taking subjects outside of your field simply because they are compulsory. Also, when you enroll in an online IT degree program, you will not have to learn the same things over and over again. Not only might you be able to get credit for courses you have already taken at the college level, but your course of study will also be carefully structured so that you will not be duplicating material. This is one reason why your program may take months rather than many years. At the same time, there will be no social programs and distractions so that you will be able to focus just on getting the degree that will land you an excellent job. It is important to keep in mind that there is no need to feel isolated. Many educational programs hosted online offer plenty of interaction with faculty and other students, so that you can enjoy all the benefits of being part of a learning community.

Students who have already gotten their online IT degree often speak very enthusiastically of their educational experience. That's because this sort of education has many advantages. If you are shy, for example, being able to learn in a virtual classroom is often much less stressful. Many students find that virtual classrooms are also much more student-friendly. The adults who learn in these environments are often very motivated to study and current technology means that learning is interesting and easily accessible. It is also important to note that online learning can be very discreet. No one has to know that you are studying for a new career unless you choose to make that information public knowledge. If you are not ready to tell your boss or your friends about your career decision, they simply do not have to know.

An online IT degree provides the maximum level of flexibility and quality; two traits that most adult learners demand. If you want to enter the IT field, there is no better way to study than to learn at your own pace in the comfort of your own home.

How to Choose Your Wholesale Products

What type of Wholesale Business is the best for you? It really depends of many factors including what you like, your capital, abilities, time and more. You should start by deciding the types of products you would like to wholesale and distribute. To do this you can look at business models, pricing structures, and distribution options. Now, to start, you should just look around and find products you like.

Think of any product that you might have in your home right now. Chances are good that it went through the wholesale process unless it was made by hand and given directly to you from that person that made it. If youre thinking about getting into the profitable business of wholesale distribution, it can help to understand that types of distributors there are and where you might be able to fit in.

One of the fastest growing markets is the health and beauty distribution. Everyone needs certain health products on a daily basis, and stores need to be able to provide these goods at lowered prices. You might want to focus your efforts in this area when youre first beginning a wholesale business. Not only are these kinds of products inexpensive to purchase, they are also in high demand on a consistent basis. You will also find that they are easy to transport and that you will be able to manage them without a large truck or warehouse. These products are also much easier to mark up in terms of price, while can lead to larger profits for you.

Electronics has always been a great wholesale distribution market as everyone wants the latest in consumer goods. When you look at things like video games and personal electronics, these items tend to be quick sellers, even when theyre not new. Whenever a new item comes into the market, consumers flood to get their hands on it. You can use this to your advantage. By realizing that electronics will never be a fading trend, you can start focusing your efforts on a certain category of electronics personal digital music players, for example and keep a wholesale business running based on that knowledge. Even those that arent interested in buying the newest models will want to have the technology that everyone else has, but offer it to their customers for a lower price.

Another good market for wholesale distribution is nutrition. Creating a wholesale business that focuses on nutritional supplements or gadgets is a clear winner as people are more interested than even in making sure that they are healthy and fit. And these kinds of items arent limited to nutritional stores anymore as well. Even your local gas station is now carrying the latest energy drinks so that travelers can get a little boost of energy. And you can make sure to cash in on that trend.

The truth of the matter is that if there is a product that you like, there is generally a distribution market for it. Take some time to look around you favorite stores to see what kinds of items are in demand and what you might be able to offer them. You may be surprised at what is missing from the market place and where you might be able to help fill these kinds of gaps.

Backing It Up With A CD Rom

With the technical age upon us, computers are far more important now than they have ever been in the past. A lot is done on the computer these days, from paying bills to earning a living. Therefore, the data that you have on your computer is very important.

Among the data found on your computer, you may have precious pictures and memories that you wouldnt dream of losing. No matter how sophisticated computers get, they will still crash, or encounter other problems that can result in a loss of data. For that reason, a backup of your data is very important.

While there are several ways that you can go about backing up your data, a CD Rom is by far the easiest and quickly becoming the most popular as well. Like other backup methods, the CD Rom does have its faults, although it has more pros to offer you than cons.

One of the best facts about CD Rom backups are the fact that your disc will be stored on CDs. The standard CD-R data disc can hold up to 700 MB of data, which is a lot of files. You can store pictures, documents, software, programs, and virtually anything else that you can think of to a CD - including entire folders that are full of files and data.

If you use CD-RW media, which are also known as re-writable discs, youll be able to continue adding data until the disc is full. You can also re-write over existing data on these discs as well, which makes them ideal for those who constantly update documents that they need to hold onto.

If you are using the standard CD-R data disks, you wont be able to add more data to them. Once you have added the information to your disk, thats it. This is a great choice if you want to keep the data as is, and know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to be backed up whenever you need it.

With the prices of CD burners and CDs being so cheap these days, anyone can afford them. They dont cost near as much as they did years ago, which is why they are so popular when it comes to backing up your data. If you own a newer computer, chances are that a CD burner was included with it. If you have an older computer, you can buy a CD burner and some discs for a little of nothing.

The best thing about backing up data with CDs is the fact that they are more reliable than floppy discs, easier to access than an online backup, and they will last you a lifetime. If you have important data that needs to be backed up, you can rest assured that a CD-Rom is an excellent way to back up your information.

Hot Market For Ultrasound Schools Graduates

To jumpstart your new career in a growing field, find and compare ultrasound schools with our quick and easy search for programs specializing in diagnostic medical sonography (ultrasound). In a heartbeat, you'll have information on the schools available in your area as well as online training options.

If you're wondering whether ultrasound training is really worth it, consider this:

-- A first year ultrasound technician can now earn up to $72,000 annually in the United States, which is a 30% increase over what sonographers earned just three years ago.

-- The number of jobs for diagnostic medical sonographers is expected to continue increasing for several years as scientists and physicians find new uses for the technology. For example, as ultrasound relies on sound waves rather than radiation, many patients and doctors prefer it over traditional x-rays. In addition, with the growing trend towards outpatient care, there are more private clinics springing up across the nation, and they need to employ their own team of sonographers.

-- While ultrasound is probably best known for its use in tracking pregnancies, ultrasound technicians can work in a variety of medical areas, such as neurology (brain), cardiology (heart), and oncology (cancer), among others.

-- Jobs for recent ultrasound schools graduates combine technical skill with human contact. Ultrasound technicians have direct contact with patients and are often responsible for explaining the procedure to them.

-- Competition for jobs is generally limited to other qualified individuals who have studied at ultrasound Schools or received comparable training.

You may think years of schooling are required to become an ultrasonagrapher. Actually, you can complete your training and join the workforce in as little as two years if you choose to study for an Associate's Degree. You can also study for a four-year Bachelor's Degree in ultrasound. Many colleges offer both options. Online study programs are also available and can often be completed in less time.
